Global Science Manager

Dr Luke Pembleton is Global Science Manager at Barenbrug, where he leads the company's global science strategy across genomics, bioinformatics, trait discovery, and emerging breeding technologies. Working with research, breeding and commercial teams across multiple regions, he is responsible for advancing the scientific capabilities that underpin innovation across Barenbrug's forage and turf breeding programs. 

With a background in plant genetics and genomics, Luke works at the intersection of breeding, data science and innovation, providing scientific leadership to research and breeding teams across multiple continents. His work spans genomic selection, trait discovery and strategic research partnerships with industry and academia. He has authored numerous scientific publications and is passionate about ensuring that advances in science deliver practical outcomes for farmers and the wider dairy industry.
