Attendees of the IDF World Dairy Summit will step beyond the plenary rooms on 19 and 20 November for Technical Tours that bring New Zealand’s dairy sector to life through real‑world manufacturing, research, and on‑farm experiences. These tours offer a rare chance to see how innovation, scale, and sustainability intersect across some of the country’s most advanced processing sites and high‑performing farms. Across both days, participants will meet the people driving industry progress, observe cutting‑edge technology in action, and experience the landscapes and communities that underpin New Zealand’s dairy excellence.

• All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%
• Some tours are available on both Thursday 19 November and Friday 20 November 2026.
• Itineraries are subject to change and may be cancelled if not fully subscribed.
• Flights to Palmerston North or Christchurch can be purchased one‑way (luggage included).
• Bookings are managed through a third party – please review the terms and conditions .
• Biosecurity requirements apply for all farm visits.

Visitor Biosecurity Management

In order to minimise the risk of transmission of exotic animal or plant diseases, vectors and pests, whether locally or internationally, to any farm visited during the Conference, we will adhere to the following policy and procedure:

• Visitors coming from countries that aren't considered free from FMD (Foot and Mouth Disease) should not visit any farm in New Zealand for 7 days after arrival in the country. We refer you to the following website for Foot and Mouth (FMD) official status: Foot and mouth disease - WOAH - World Organisation for Animal Health
• Visitors coming from countries that are considered free from FMD should avoid, if possible, visiting any farm in New Zealand for 7 days from their last contact with animals.
• Any footwear and clothing to be used on farm should be closed in toe footwear and thoroughly cleaned before arrival to remove all organic matter. Additionally, footwear will be disinfected with Virkon or equivalent upon arrival on the farm to be visited, or disposable shoe-protectors might be provided. 
• Registering for the farm tour means that you will adhere to all the corresponding biosecurity procedures in place at all times. 

Cancellation

• We reserve the right to cancel tours due to low numbers or adverse weather.
• Flight tours cancelled before 20 July 2026 receive a refund less $150.
• Coach‑only tours cancelled before 18 September 2026 receive a refund less $50.
