Terms and Conditions

General

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%
Some tours are available on both Thursday 19 November and also Friday 20 November 2026.
Itineraries are subject to change, and if not fully subscribed may be cancelled
Due to the Technical Tours being day trips no luggage is required.
Flights to Palmerston North (Manawatu) or to Christchurch (South Island) can be purchased as a one way (luggage included) then own arrangements to travel throughout New Zealand.
Lunch is inclusive for all technical tours.
Each tour will be accompanied by local Tour Escorts.

Capacity

Dairy Research and Farm (Manawatu) tours maximum 40 adults 19/20 November
Dairy Factory and Farm South Island tours maximum 30 adults 19/20 November
Dairy Factory and Farm Waikato tour maximum 50 adults 19 November
Livestock Improvement Waikato tour maximum 40 adults 20 November.
Each tour will be accompanied by local Tour Escorts.

Farm Visits and Tours

For farm visits, due to biosecurity rules in New Zealand if you have been on a farm or in contact with livestock outside of New Zealand within 7 days of your visit, please inform us before your visit
Wear clean, covered footwear for all technical tours
Bring a raincoat as weather may be unpredictable
Photography is prohibited without prior approval
Mobile phones are not allowed on the site tours, please leave them on the bus
Tours involve walking and stairs, a reasonable fitness level is required
Smoking or Vaping are not permitted on sites or farms
Do not attend the tour if you are feeling unwell
If you have been unwell or exposed to a contagious illness, please let us know before hand

Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to low numbers or adverse weather. This will be advised by Monday 21 September 2026 allowing delegates to change to another tour or a full refund will be provided.
Technical Tours with flights cancelled before 20 July 2026 will receive a refund less $150, flights cancelled after 20 July 2026 will not be refundable. Please note this is additional to the general conference cancellation charges.
Technical Tours with coach only tickets cancelled before 18 September 2026 will receive a refund less $50, bus tickets cancelled after 18 September 2026 will not be refundable. Please note this is additional to the general conference cancellation charges.

OUR ROLE:

We are a travel agent – Venture Travel & Events and in that capacity we offer for sale to you various products and /or services on behalf of our Principals viz. Airlines, other transport operators, hotels and other accommodation providers, tour operators and all other principal suppliers. These are referred to throughout as "the Principal/s"

1.1 OUR SERVICES: These consist of arranging and co-ordinating the services offered by the Principals . We are instrumental in bringing about a direct contractual relationship between you, the customer, and the Principals. We undertake to perform these services with reasonable care and skill but we cannot and do not guarantee the performance of the functions offered by the Principals and we will not be liable in the event that you suffer loss , injury or disappointment by reason of any acts or failings of any Principal. In any such case your remedy will lie against the Principal.
