Dr Meenesh Shah

Chairman

Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Board Member of the International Dairy Federation, brings over 40 years of experience to the dairy sector. He also chairs Mother Dairy, Indian Immunologicals, IDMC, and several other NDDB-affiliated and cooperative dairy institutions, and holds leadership and governing board roles across organisations including the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture, the National Cooperative Development Corporation, and the Dairy Sustainability Framework. His accolades include an honorary Doctor of Science from Kamdhenu University, the Indian Dairy Association's Dr Kurien Award, IDF's Prize of Excellence (2023), and the Visionary Leadership Award (2025). Dr Shah has represented India's smallholder dairying model internationally, led the successful IDF World Dairy Summit 2022, supported dairy development in Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Nigeria, and championed sustainability initiatives in biogas, solar energy, and climate-smart dairying. He holds a degree in Dairy Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA.
