Moises Torres-Gonzalez

Vice President, Nutrition Research

Moises Torres-Gonzalez, Ph.D. is Vice President of Nutrition Research at Dairy Management Inc, where he leads the organization’s public health research platform and directs a strategic portfolio that advances scientific understanding of the role of dairy foods and milk fat components in dietary patterns to reduce chronic disease risk and optimize health outcomes. He also serves as Deputy Chair of the IDF Standing Committee on Nutrition and Health.

Dr. Moises earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Colima and the Instituto Tecnológico de Veracruz in Mexico, and both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. His research experience includes scientific appointments at the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University and the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.

His expertise spans lipid and macronutrient metabolism, human nutrition, and cardiometabolic health, integrating mechanistic and translational research to better understand dietary influences on metabolic health. In recognition of his contributions to nutrition science, he was selected 2026 American Society for Nutrition Excellence in Nutrition Fellow. Dr. Moises has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and is internationally recognized for his expertise in dairy nutrition, contributing to both scientific advancement and evidence-based knowledge translation.
